The Consort features singers from the award-winning chamber choir Sansara in an unconducted ensemble focusing on choral works originally conceived for consort or one-to-a-part performance. Recent programmes have focused on repertoire performed by men’s voices including Richafort’s Requiem and Tallis’s Lamentations alongside works by Josquin, Gombert, de Wert, Sheppard and Byrd. The Consort is committed to raising money for charity with a recent concert fundraising for British Red Cross.

I welcome this new consort of young singers who think so intelligently about the music they perform. They know how to blend with each other, and they know how to interpret as individuals.

I was delighted to attend a Sansara Consort rehearsal and was very impressed at the way they rehearsed the repertoire and absorbed new ideas. The resulting concert was superb. They are an outstanding group of young singers and I very much look forward to their upcoming projects.”
